Where the facts on ticticmimi.org come from, what we will not claim about a top, and how to report a mistake.
The people who run the TICTICMIMI catalog write every page on ticticmimi.org. Here is how a fact gets onto a page.
Facts about the tops
Fabric blends, necklines, sleeve lengths, size runs and colors come from our own product data. When two descriptions of one top disagree, we print the more careful figure or leave it out. A fabric blend is printed only when its parts add up to one hundred percent.
The photographs and the home page film are ours. Frames with slogans, size charts or arrows printed over them stay off the site, so each picture shows the top itself, on a model or laid flat.
What we do not claim
We describe how a top is cut and what it is made of. We do not promise that a knit stays free of pilling or that a color stays as bright as on day one, because wash temperature, dryer heat and wear differ from closet to closet, and the fabric and care page says what slows both down. Where a page talks about labels and care symbols, it cites the Federal Trade Commission, and the date we read each source is printed beside it.
Corrections
If a size, a fabric, a color or a sentence here is wrong, write to closet@ticticmimi.org. We fix the page and the product data behind it.
